Hair Highlights & Foils in Billerica, MA

Why Bella Mia

Highlights Placed for Your Part, Your Cut and Your Lifestyle

Foil highlights are one of our most requested services, and for good reason: they’re precise. Foils let us control exactly where brightness lands, how fine or bold each piece is, and how high we lift — whether you want golden ribbons, icy blonde or a subtle sun-kissed glow.

Every highlight appointment finishes with a glaze or toner when your hair needs it, so your blonde is the shade you asked for, not brassy or yellow. We color with Joico and tone with Joico Lumishine for shine and a precise finish.

Already on a root color schedule? Add a partial foil to your root touch-up to brighten your part and hairline without booking a separate appointment.

Highlights FAQs

What's the difference between a partial and full foil?

A partial foil places highlights on the top and sides of the head, where they’re most visible. A full foil highlights the entire head, including underneath, for brightness all the way around.

Plan on about two to three hours for a partial foil and three hours or more for a full foil, including toning and blow-dry. Adding a cut adds roughly 30 minutes.

Most clients refresh highlights every eight to twelve weeks. A face-frame or partial foil in between keeps your part bright without a full appointment.

Usually, yes. Lightened hair naturally exposes warm tones, and a toner or glaze adjusts the shade to the exact blonde you want while adding shine.

Yes. A root retouch with partial foils is one of our most-booked combinations. It covers gray at the root and adds brightness so grow-out is softer.
